Flagstone (flag) is a general term for a flat stone that is sometimes cut in regular rectangular or square shapes and commonly used for paving slabs or walkways, patios, flooring, and fences. Ground cover plants like moss or turf are excellent filler options for flagstone patios and add a splash of color to the landscape. Turf is best suited for flagstone patios with large, evenly spaced stones.
Natural stone, brick, and concrete are the three most common types of interlock. Interlocking stones are natural or precast bricks that can be used to build beautiful outdoor features such as walls, patios, garden paths, and waterfalls. Brick pavers are commonly used in high-traffic areas such as a driveway or walkways. Concrete is the least expensive type that offers a variety of design options if you're looking for a low-cost option.
Similar to flooring, but typically built outside, elevated from the ground, and usually connected to a building. Fencing in a garden can be useful for keeping animals out, protecting a garden from vandalism, defining garden boundaries, or simply helping to organize a garden area.
Around the world, sod is commonly used for lawns, golf courses, and sports stadiums. It is sold to landscapers, home builders, and homeowners in residential construction to help them establish a lawn quickly and avoid soil erosion. Sod can be used to repair a small area of dead lawn, golf course, or athletic field and is a faster alternative to re-growing a lawn from seed. Sod can also help with flood prevention by increasing cooling, improving air and water quality, and draining water.
There must be enough space for mobility or getting in and out of your tub, but also for maintenance. You must choose an area that allows easy access to the hot tub's inner workings. Leaving at least 30 inches around the hot tub's sides and back panels is the best.
The best location for your pool is one that provides privacy, captures the sun in autumn or spring, is protected from the wind, and allows for safe supervision of your children. There are a few other factors you should consider when deciding where to put your swimming pool. Evergreen plants are typically the most recommended for pool landscaping because they remain green all year and do not shed a lot of leaves that could end up in your pool and pool filter. Evergreen trees are also good for privacy if you choose them.
